Announcing Bear River Mercantiles Full Payment Cash Incentive Discount!

We will discount select rental equipment (includes canoes, kayaks, cabins & carts) by 10% …BUT…there is a catch!! To qualify for this incentive your rental must be paid with good ‘ole fashioned’ CASH, and must be PAID IN FULL AT THE TIME OF BOOKING unless other arrangements have been made.

Credit card companies cost us all way too much in fees and interest. Plus they are getting technical and making it very inconvenience for the few of us who are still without telephone or cell capabilities, to accept their Cards. Therefore Bear River Mercantile is adapting by doing business using more reliable and proven methods such as CASH. Therefore this incentive is for CASH customers only. If you choose to pay your booking by Credit Card then the full price of the rentals (without the discount) will be due.

Rental Equipment Qualifying for the Cash Incentive Discount

Only canoe, kayak, cart and cabin rentals outside of a pre-packaged deal qualify for this discount. This discount will be honoured for both pre-reserved and drop-in rentals as long as it qualities and you are paying with cash.

As the prices in our Paddlers, Front Country and Family Vacation Packages have already been discounted within the package price, they are not eligible for further price reduction using this cash incentive discount. Regardless, we still prefer cash payments for these packages as per the payment procedures specified with our regular rentals.

Restaurant and store purchases do not qualify.

 Payment Procedures for the Pre-Paid Cash Incentive Discount;

 There are only two methods available for securing your reservation and be eligible for this discount:

  1. For Canadian and US Clients -- Send your payment in full by personal cheque or cashiers cheque (made on a viable Canadian or U.S. Bank) or money order at the time of your booking. Bookings will not be guaranteed until such items clear but we will hold your booking during the clearing process.
  2. For International Clients -- We will still accept MasterCard Credit Card information to secure your booking, but we will not charge the card, we will only hold the number as your security deposit. When you arrive you must pay the rental in full in either Cash, or Travelers Cheque. If you do not show up for your booking or cancel your booking (as per our Cancellation & Refund Policy) we reserve all rights to charge the card all reservation deposit amounts owing at that time. Your willingness to send your credit card information as your security deposit is your acceptance to this charge if it becomes necessary.

 Reservation Deposit Amounts Required for Regular Priced Rentals;

Canoes & Kayaks -- $50.00 / boat

Cabins -- $40.00 / cabin / night

Carts -- $ 20.00 / cart

 Cancellation & Refund Policy:

For this incentive, all payments will be 100% refunded in full, if and only if, your cancellation and refund request is made 30 days prior to your arrival date. This gives us time to try and re-book your spots. If cancellation is made after the 30 day limit, or if you do not show for your rental, then all payments will be refunded minus the reservation deposit amounts which will be non-refundable and non-transferable. If we are holding your MasterCard Credit Card as security then payments will be charged from the card according to the above stated policy.
