Campers CabinsOur cabins are "Campers Cabins", which means that bedding and towels are not supplied, you bring your own sleeping bags and towels. For an extra $5.00/ bed/ stay, bedding or towels can be provided by request (please make this request when booking your reservations). The Boisie Cabin is named for Jack and Bunty Boisie, who owned our land during the 40's & 50's. It features a large wood cook stove in a fully outfitted kitchen, which includes pots, pans and dishes. The other end of the kitchen contains a table and sitting area. Two bedrooms provide sleeping for 6 persons with a double bed and single top bunk in each room. The washroom is outfitted with a bathtub/shower. The wrap-around porch features a big couch where you can relax and enjoy the view of the lake.
The McLeod Cabin is named for Kenneth McLeod, the original pre-emptor of our land from 1899. The large main room has a fully outfitted kitchen (which includes pots, pans, dishes etc.), a table, futon, and beds. It can sleep 6 with one bunk bed (double bottom / single top), a second double bed and a futon. The washroom has a shower stall, and a cozy wood stove keeps everyone toasty warm.

Pricing (Per cabin per night, Canadian funds, taxes not included)
If you require bedding and towels, please add $5.00 (per bed) to the above prices. The Family Rate qualifies for Mom, Dad and all Children aged 18 & under The off Season is Oct 15 to April 30 - Water to the cabins is turned off during the off season, visitors use barrels for drinking and washing water, the indoor toilet facilities in the main building, or the nearby outhouse. Please check out our special rates for weekly rentals, or youth and group bookings. Reservation & Refund PoliciesFor Cabin reservations please provide us with a contact name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, number of occupants, whether you are a family or all adults, dates you would like to stay and your preferred cabin. A refundable deposit of $40.00 / cabin / night will be required to hold the cabin. Deposits are 100% refundable if cancellation notice is given prior to 28 days of your reservation date. Deposits are 50% refundable if cancellation notice is given less then 28 days prior to your reservation date. Payment ProceduresReservation deposits are to be made payable immediately by personal check, travelers cheque or money orders. Final payments can be made when you arrive at Bear River Mercantile by cash, travelers cheque or money orders. If you wish to make the final payment by personal cheque then the final payment cheque should be received by Bear River Mercantile two weeks prior to your arrival date. Final payment cheques can either be posted separately at a later date or as a post dated cheque sent along with your reservation deposit cheque. During the booking process, we will notify you of the deposit amount and the final payment amount required for the services that you are booking. For 2008, VISA and MasterCard will still be accepted as a last resort. Damaged, Dirty or Replacement PoliciesAll rental items including cabins must be sufficiently tidy before you leave. If there is any damaged or if rented items are left excessively dirty, the renter will be responsible for cleaning, repair and/or replacement costs. Replacement and repair cost for lost, stolen or destroyed items, is at full retail value. A $10.00 minimum charge for leaving dirty dishes or an excessively dirty cabin will be invoiced over and above the original cabin rental prices. Check In / Out TimesCheck in time for the cabins is 2:00pm on the day of your arrival. Check out time is 11:30am on the day of your departure. Applicable TaxesCabin rentals are subject to 5% GST and 7% PST
Campground All Phillips PhotosOur Campground consists of a three acre grassy meadow over looking Bowron Lake & Bowron River. There is an out house with flush toilet and running water, clean drinking water and a central covered cooking shelter. One nights fire wood is included in the campsite price. There are several small riverside sites for tents and small trailers and a large open area for motor homes and RV's. A large group area is available for groups of 7 or more persons and includes wood for one group fire/ night. Day picnicking is free but there is a charge for firewood. Bear River Mercantile also has pay showers open to campers and the general public. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control at all times. Pricing (Canadian funds, taxes not included)
Reservation & Refund PoliciesSingle campsites are given on a first come first serve policy. Campsite reservations can be requested by e-mail. Reservations and a deposit of $20.00 /group / night are required for large groups. Whenever possible please make your reservation deposits (and payments) by Cheque and Money Order (and cash), but for 2008 we will still accept MasterCard and VISA. For group bookings, please refer to the payment procedures as outlined above in the 'Cabin Information'. Damaged, Dirty or Replacement PoliciesAll rental items including camping areas must be cleaned before you leave. If rental area is damaged or left in a dirty condition, the renter will be responsible for cleaning, repair or replacement costs. Replacement and repair cost for lost, stolen or destroyed rental equipment, including canoes, is at full retail value. A $8.00 minimum charge for cleaning excessively dirty campsites will be invoiced over and above the original rental prices. Applicable TaxesCampsite rentals are subject to 5% GST
