Canoes - We offer good basic canoes suitable for both novice and experienced paddlers.

The Clipper Yukon Canoe

The 16'8" Clipper Yukon is specifically designed for week long paddling trips. Stable, maneuverable, and strong; the Yukon has low bucket seats which keep you seated at the center of gravity and an adjustable foot brace for the added comfort of the stern paddler.  It is a good wilderness tripping canoe for two persons and all your gear, or a family canoe for two adults and children on a one day outing.

Key Benefits of the Clipper Yukon

Fiberglass with Kevlar reinforced bow and stern

   Length 16'8"

   Weights 72 lb/ 33 kilos

   Carries a 900lb/ 408 kilos capacity with 6" freeboard

   Width at gunnels 36"

   Bow/Stern depth 20" - Center depth 14"

   Bow & stern floatation compartments

Two of our Yukon canoes have been equipped with formed wooden yokes for those hardy folk who want to carry their boats over the portages in the old traditional way.

The Clipper 186 MacKenzie Canoe

For unbelievable performance in a large capacity touring canoe, try the 18'6" MacKenzie.  Good for two adults and a small third paddler, load it up with camping gear and you're all set for a real wilderness adventure.  It will carry a large load and still have excellent stability.  Molded bucket seats, adjustable stern foot brace and sliding bow seat make it a very comfortable and efficient paddling canoe.  Optional center seats increase the comfort of a third paddler.

Expedition 16 Canoe Carts

We offer the best canoe carts on the market.  The park approved, Expedition 16 Canoe Cart,  features 4" wide pneumatic tires with a 16"radius and orange flotation pads that protect the canoe and keep the wheels afloat if dropped in the lake.  These are very sturdy carts which minimize wear and tear on the trails.  They are made for the rough and rocky terrain that can be found on the portages of Bowron Lake Provincial Park.  The canoe is held in place by 12 feet of heavy duty 2" nylon webbing.  The over all weight of the cart is 23 lbs. and the carrying capacity is 350 lbs.
