   Free Vehicle parking while you are on the lake chain. 

   Storage of any excess luggage that shouldn't be kept in your vehicle.

   Access to our Video Library featuring videos on Bowron Lake, bear safety and paddling techniques.

   One 10 gal (40 liter) Barrel rental per canoe unit, upon request.

   We are flexible on your coming-off-the-lake dates.  We hold your cabin until 3:00pm one  day before, the day of, and one day after your planned return date - giving you the option of coming in one day early or extending your paddle by one day.

Front Country Package - Three Days/Two Nights at Bowron Lake - Includes:

   Day One - Arrive at our cozy cabin anytime after 1:30pm,  your canoe will be available upon your arrival.  Dinner is served that evening.

   Day Two - Breakfast is served, your canoe is available for the day.  Wheels are provided if you choose to visit Kibbee Lake. Dinner is served that evening before you retire to the cabin for the night.

   Day Three - Breakfast is served.  Check out time is 12 noon, feel free to use the canoe and cabin until then.

Reservation & Refund Policies

To reserve a Special we require a $100.00 deposit per canoe unit reserved.  Deposits are 100% refundable if cancellation notice is given prior to 28 days of your reservation date.  Deposits are 50% refundable if cancellation notice is given less then 28 days prior to your reservation date. 

Payment Procedures

Reservation deposits are to be made payable immediately by personal check, travelers cheque or money orders.  Final payments can be made when you arrive at Bear River Mercantile by cash, travelers cheque or money orders. If you wish to make the final payment by personal cheque then the final payment cheque should be received by Bear River Mercantile two weeks prior to your booking date. Final payment cheques can either be posted separately at a later date or as a post dated cheque sent along with your reservation deposit cheque. During the booking process, we will notify you of the deposit amount and the final payment amount required for the services that you are booking.  For 2008, VISA and MasterCard will still be accepted as a last resort.

Damaged, Dirty or Replacement Policies

All rental items including boats must be cleaned upon return. If rental equipment is returned in damaged or dirty condition, the renter will be responsible for cleaning, repair or replacement costs.  Replacement and repair cost for lost, stolen or destroyed rental equipment, including canoes, is at full retail value.  A $20 minimum charge for cleaning dirty equipment will be invoiced over and above the original rental prices.

Applicable Taxes

All Specials are subject to 5% GST and 7% PST on applicable items.  Please contact us for the exact tax amounts on each Special. 

Campsite Rate : For supervised youth groups and large groups in general - One large central fire ring, benches, cooking shelter, picnic tables and lots of room around for tents, trailers and R.V.'s.   Please book in advance.  Wood for one group fire is included.  Nearby outhouse, drinking water, pay showers and laundry facilities are available.   

Youth Cabin Rate : For supervised Youth Groups only. Special for up to 6 persons in each cabin.

Youth Canoe Rate : For supervised Youth Groups only  - 1 Canoe Unit includes ; 1 Clipper Yukon Canoe, 1 cart, 2 lifejackets, 3 paddles, rescue rope, bow/stern ropes, sponge, bailer & whistle.  Inquire about pricing for Clipper 186 MacKenzie canoes if you have an odd number of paddlers or younger children in your group.

Adult Group Canoe Rate : Discount pricing for adult groups of 9 or more paddlers (over 4 canoe units) see below.

All Groups are expected to clean their own campsites, cabins and canoes before departing.

Family Vacation Packages   

Campsite Vacation Package - For stays of 7 to 14 days - 15% off of regular campsite price.
For stays of 15 or more days - 30% off of regular campsite price. (campsite price does not include showers). 

Cabin Vacation Package -  Weekly rate, 7 days or more get a 10% discount off the single day price.  Monthly rentals, please inquire.  Cabin price includes showers.

Canoe Rentals for Extended Stay Guests - You can reserve a canoe to be held for your use exclusively, during your extended stay with Bear River Mercantile, dependent upon availability at the time of reserving.
