Traveling to Bowron Lake

Bowron Lake is approximately 800 km (500 mi) north of Vancouver and 120 km (75 mi) east of Quesnel B.C..  From Vancouver to Quesnel you follow highway 97.  Once you reach Quesnel, you travel east on highway 26 to the 1930's town of Wells.  From here you carry on to the Bowron Lake Road which turns off the pavement just before the historic town of Barkerville.  This is a good gravel road which travels 28km (18 mi) to Bowron Lake.
